Applicability of the new EMV contact Level 2 specification
End of 2022, EMVCo announced a change in the EMV contact specification documentation. The documentation related to the update of the EMV Contact Level 2 specification version 4.4, integrating additional Specification Bulletins edited since the last version 4.3, is not yet available on EMVCo website.
So the applicability of the new update 4.4 has been postponed, and will become effective from April 1st 2023, once all related documents are updated and published (administrative process, test plan or Implementation Conformance Statement).
Keep posted to receive the necessary information when the documents are available, and do not hesitate to contact us if you are concerned by EMV Contact level 2 certification or renewal of EMV Contact readers.
