Kardia payment : at the core of EMV technology

EMV technology is the international standard for secure payment systems and is present in most payment terminals where consumers use their chip & PIN cards or e-wallets to pay for goods or services.

Payment terminal providers have to integrate EMV® compliant payment systems and submit their products to the approval of EMVCo and payment schemes to be officially recognized. They must undergo several certifications at many steps of the device development :

  • Communication protocols -> at level 1

  • Functional payment libraries -> at level 2

  • Acquiring card brand applications -> at level 3

Alcinéo collaborates with payment solution providers to implement level 1 and level 2 kernels depending on their targeted markets and deployment strategies. Kardia Payment suite gathers our logical portfolio of EMV embedded kernels for all kind of smart payment systems.

Our digital payment solution is based on EMV technology and has been developed in compliance with international payment and security standards. In addition to international payment schemes, it includes functional Level 2 kernels for regional and domestic networks relying on the EMV standard to develop their contactless payment applications.
