New notification for JCB contactless specification
JCB International recently released a new notification (TA N045) including two Specification Bulletins for terminal vendors.
New applicability date for bulletin 19
The first bulletin refers to the Specification Bulletin 19, initially issued in early 2025, introducing some updates and changes. The applicable date of this second edition is stated as October 1st 2026.
Alcinéo has already implemented the first edition of bulletin 19, and previous bulletins, into our JCB Contactless library.
Details for support of C8 Kernel
The TA notification 45 also includes a new SB n°20, adding details for the support of C8 kernel, and updating the requirement relating to CVM for transit reader.
These changes will become applicable as of October 1st 2026.
