MCL 3.1.4 now available
Mastercard MCL 3.1.4 specifications are now available
Mastercard has announced the availability of MCL 3.1.4 specifications for contactless reader type approval, starting January 1st 2021.
The main change in the 3.1.4 specification is the introduction of optional support of Send POI INFORMATION Command (compliant with EMV SB 230, available on EMVCo website).
Up until February 28th, vendors can submit both 3.1.3 and 3.1.4 ICS forms.
After this date, products submitted with 3.1.3 kernel version will still be accepted to type approval, but they will be registered using the 3.1.4 ICS form mentioning that the product does not support the optional send poi command.
Note that the SB 230 Bulletin has already been implemented into our contactless payment suite.
