Bulletin 19 from JCB's J/Speedy program now supported
Alcinéo has implemented in its JCB contactless kernel the latest bulletin n°19 released as part of the J/Speedy program for contactless payments.

JCB International released in early 2025 a new specification bulletin n° 19, to introduce some updates and changes in the JCB specification for contactless card readers, applicable as of October 1st 2025.
The main modification is focused on the introduction of Kernel Identifier-Terminal. It consists in how the Application Selection engine shall set the Kernel Identifier-Terminal to identify the kernel selected for the transaction.
The bulletin also details other changes related to Outcome parameters, and clarifies TVR update in case of CDA failure.
The updated features have been successfully tested through an effective quality campaign. Alcineo’ s JCB contactless kernel is now fully compliant with the Bulletin 19 and JCB contactless program.
