Mastercard contactless specification changes
Mastercard modifies implementation options in MCL contactless kernel. The changes will apply from January 1st 2022. From this date, the following functionalities must not be implemented anymore to MCL contactless functional library :
– Torn Transaction recovery
– Offline balance reading
– STOP signal
In the same time, the implementation of Data Exchange and Data Storage becomes optional. Payment solution providers will be able to choose if the MCL library they are developing will support DE/DS, or not.
